Hello! My family and I are coming off a very busy December and I set a goal to make Floured Apron better than ever! First step is to get the site and blog up and running AND keep up with it! Blogging is something I’ve wanted to tackle for a while but haven’t invested the time (I could make lots of excuses…). Anyway, this year I intend to make it happen!
Floured Apron was started in our home in Cincinnati, OH in 2012. This August, we went through several changes. Hannah, my oldest daughter, moved to North Carolina to start college. Two days after getting her settled, we moved from Cincinnati, OH to Aurora, OH to be closer to my husband’s job. After many weeks of living in limbo, and missing out on my favorite fall baking time, we finally moved into our house the second week in November and before I knew it, December was upon me and I had lots to do. Hannah was coming home for December break, I planned a surprise 60th birthday party for my mom, we visited family and friends in Cincinnati, Kentucky and Chicago and then it was Christmas Eve!
Fortunately, I spent a little time in November dropping off cupcake samples to locals in our new area. I’m thankful for the opportunity to do what I love and can’t wait to apply what I learned in Cincinnati and introduce Northeast OH to Floured Apron! Today has been a day of fun and relaxation. Tomorrow will be a different story. As soon as the Christmas decorations are packed away, the Valentine’s Day push will begin. xoxo
From the heart,
